Principal Software Engineer

IoE Internet of Everything Dev Lead (Full Stack)

Our v1.0 IoE access control system is currently in early deployment, with hundreds of pending installations. You will lead the team to finish Phase 2 and Phase 3 releases over the next year, expanding our product capabilities and market to thousands more opportunities! Technologies include hardware integrations, beacon technologies, iOS and Android applications, Angular frontend, and backend technologies including .NET Core, MVC Framework (Angular 4), REST APIs, Entity Framework event-driven architecture, and other architectural patterns.

The successful candidate will lead a team of five software engineers that rounds out a Scrum Team of Business Analysts, Quality Assurance professionals and Dev Ops. Do you have what it takes to help lead the most exciting project team focused on IoE (Internet of Everything) technologies in Phoenix?

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

  • 9 years developer experience plus B.S., Computer Science or related degree
  • Experienced leading small teams of developers as Lead Developer and/or Scrum Master
  • Extensive knowledge of C#, Java, or similar; microservice architecture, Entity Framework
  • Experience with client-side MVC Frameworks (Angular 4 preferred)
  • Extensive experience writing high-quality unit tests against mock objects
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design
  • Experience with data persistence technologies (such as RDBMS, NoSQL databases) is a plus
  • Deep understanding of SOA, web security architecture, REST APIs, event-driven architecture
  • Working knowledge of and experience with Angular 2 framework (Angular 4 a plus)
  • Knowledge of native DOM and Event APIs, browser quirks and remedies
  • Experience building front-end code with server-side technology; WebPack is a plus
  • Active in a cross mentoring culture that transfers knowledge within and across teams
  • Exhibits and imparts development best practices on team; adheres to strong coding standards
  • Explaining technical decisions in business terms; facilitates design and code reviews
  • Advanced knowledge of QA principles, data structures, The Scrum Guide
  • Writes thorough descriptions of system design and program functions
  • Desired advanced knowledge of Git, JIRA, Confluence, accessing and manipulating SQL data
  • Desired experience with CDN technologies (such as Amazon CloudFront) is a plus
  • Desired polyglot developer that can apply proven software development best practices
